Today we decided to get out of the house with the dogs, so we headed to Del Mar dog beach to enjoy the beautiful day. This was our first time at the dog beach in Del Mar and we really enjoyed it.
It is smaller than the dog beach in Coronado, where we usually take the boys, but it is equally as clean and just as much fun.
After the boys ran around and made friends with beagles, great danes, labradors and other wiener dogs, we got back in the car and headed up to Del Mar village for lunch. We ate on the patio of the dog-friendly Americana Cafe. More on that in the next post.
After that, we took the boys to Dexter’s Deli so Gary (my oldest dog son) could pick out his birthday cake for his party next month. They had so many delicious-looking goodies to chose from. While all of the cakes are made for dogs, the owner told me that humans can eat them if they remove the dog bones from the top. Carrot cake with peanut butter frosting sounds good to me.
